Among the various events dedicated to schools during the third edition of the Job Film Days festival, this event organized in collaboration with ACLI Metropolitan City of Turin, Enaip Piedmont, ACLI Torino Service and Utopica is dedicated to young people and their professional training, directly involving the students of Enaip Piedmont’s training centers. It will take place on Wednesday September 28th at 10:00 at Cinema Massimo with the screening of the movie Fortuna Granda by Francesca Sironi and Alberto Gottardo. A Q&A with the directors, with the participation of Raffaella Dispenza (ACLI Metropolitan City of Turin) and Roberto Santoro (Enaip Piedmont) will follow.

For generations, the local population In Goro, province of Ferrara, guarantees its livelihood with shellfish production on the Po river delta. Alessandro, Gioele, Matteo and Samuel are sixteen-year-olds attending the local Cesta vocational school, where they follow a special course dedicated to fishing, lessons that will lead them to take an exam and initiate them into a profession.
Alberto Gottardo (1983) studied photography at the City University of New York and also attended a Master’s at CFP Bauer in Milan, where he teaches nowadays. He started to collaborate with Francesca Sironi in 2015: together they have shot Follow the Paintings, an investigative documentary on the art market; in 2019 they made Marghe e Giulia, crescere in diretta (2019), while Fortuna Granda is their first feature film.

Francesca Sironi (Milan, Italy, 1987) since 2012 she wrote for the weekly publication «L’Espresso» and an essay for children in 2020. She started to collaborate with Alberto Gottardo in 2015: together they have shot Follow the Paintings, an investigative documentary on the art market; in 2019 they made Marghe e Giulia, crescere in diretta (2019), while Fortuna Granda is their first feature film.
