Pierre is supervising a building site for the construction of a green neighbourhood. He is responsible for the site and has to grant the observance of safety measures.

Nicolas Panay (France, 1991) in 2016 co-founded the Troyes International Short Films Festival ‘Court en scène’, of which he has been director and programmer for six editions. In 2022, he directed Breakpoint, his first short film, a powerful social drama about today’s textile factory workers confronting the mechanisms of globalisation and the moral dilemmas the factory entails. After its premiere at Clermont-Ferrand, the film was selected in about fifty festivals and won several awards. The lead actress won the Unifrance Prize for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival. Breakpoint is also running for the 2024 Oscars. His second short film, Alarms, is a social thriller. Nicolas reiterates the radical humanity of his perspective by moving his camera according to the fate of his character, capturing every nuance of this complex storyline.

Filmography: Breakpoint (s.f., 2022), Alarms (s.f., 2024).
