Parisian neighbourhood of Goutte d’Or, metro station Château Rouge, Georges Clemenceau high school.
The school is attended by restless girls and boys who are already forced to grow up quickly, facing deep personal and social hardship. They shape their personalities, lose themselves while trying to find their own selves. Adults try to understand and guide them, give them an education and upbringing, despite the violence of the system. Hélène Milano follows a third-grade class, observes their daily difficulties faced by teenagers who live through the school environment without enthusiasm and with rebellion, bringing their complex private experiences to class. The film premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival in the ACID independent section. It mixes scenes taken from the hours spent in class, the lessons, the debates, the meetings, the presence of psychologists, the words of those young men and women who express desires often in contrast with reality. National preview.
