Areeba Naveed (Pakistan) is a Pakistani writer and filmmaker, currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2019, she graduated with honors from the Lahore National College of Arts. She wrote and directed two short films and a music video while graduating. Her thesis movie Until The Quiet Comes (2020) was selected and screened at 2021 Toronto IFFSA. After graduation, she received a scholarship from the Norwegian Embassy and made the LGBTQIA-themed short film A Coup (2020). The movie was applauded at four International Film Festivals and a semi-finalist at the Queer International Film Festival. The following year, she wrote and directed Khoj (The Search), a five-episode crime thriller web series. She then directed Fairy (2023), a short film focusing on the issue of child labour, which was produced for an NGO (Group Development Project). In 2023, she directed the movie About the Echoes We Carry.
