Ivo (premiered at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival) is the second feature film by talented German filmmaker Eva Trobisch. The movie brings to the forefront the story of a nurse working in the field of palliative care. Her name is Ivo (masterfully played by Minna Wündrich in her debut as leading actress). Her profession is not relegated in a single institution, but she is a home care worker. She is a member of the so-called SAPV, network of Specialised Ambulatory Palliative Care, which offers a suitable alternative to terminally ill patients who prefer to spend their remaining time in their own home and not in a public facility. Ivo is always on the move, going from door to door to assist them, establishing a deep relationship with them and their families. At the same time, she has to keep the right distance dealing with situations that cause her lots of emotions and manage her precarious private life since she is also a mother of a teenage girl. All this happens precisely because of her total dedication to her work.

The film will be introduced by Ivan Bufalo, president of the Order of Nursing Professions. Followed by a debate with Madga Stain (Home Palliative Care nurse ASL City of Turin), Elena Canavesio (Home Palliative Care nurse ASL TO3) and Andrea Gatta (journalist).

Eva Trobisch  (Berlin, Germany, 1983) worked as an assistant in theatres and cinema before beginning her studies. She studied direction at Munich HFF and took part in workshops in cities like NYC and London. Her debut feature film Alles ist gut was awarded as Best Debut at the 2018 Locarno Film Festival and received lots of recognition. Trobisch is a member of the Production Company Trimafilm, author of essays about cinema and of a play shown in the theatre of Basilea.
