Reem was born and raised in a Bedouin community in the desert, where she had to deal with a conservative mentality that does not allow girls to study or practice sports. When she moved to the city of Amman with her family, she was impressed by the world of boxing and managed to convince her parents to let her start training. The people of Amman do not really like the idea of a female boxer, but Reem wants to prove to them that she can do it. Trained by a coach, she prepares for Tokyo 2020, but unfortunately does not qualify. After processing this personal failure, she decides to open a gym on her own and starts training the younger girls in her neighbourhood, with the aim of preparing them for Paris 2024.
