About Us

Job Film Days (JFD) is an international film festival dedicated to the issues of labor and workers’ rights. Directed by Annalisa Lantermo, it is organized by the Job Film Days ETS Association, whose main objective is to promote cultural initiatives that-through cinema-address the theme of work, starting with respect for rights, legality, equal opportunities, and health and safety in the workplace.
The Festival aims to disseminate current international cinematography on the world of work, also involving directors and other professionals who have contributed to the creation of the films; enrich the debate on the theme of work, thanks to guests and opportunities for discussion; draw attention to work in the film industry; encourage the meeting between the world of work and the world of cinema through the expressive power of the cinematic language; and involve young people in the enjoyment of audiovisual products and movie theaters, also using cinema as a training tool

The fifth edition of Job Film Days, October 1-6, 2024, presents the public with six days of screenings divided into competitive and non-competitive sections, focuses dedicated to specific themes, special events, meetings and conferences.

The two competitive sections are the “Job 2024″ JFD – INAIL Piemonte Film Award, an international competition dedicated to documentary and fiction films that tell the different aspects of the world of work, and the “Job for the Future” JFD – Turin Chamber of Commerce Award, a competition reserved for short films made in the European Union by directors under 40 that tell the story of “emerging” jobs and the challenges of contemporary work.

In synergy with the Festival, in order to explore new languages and new partnerships that tell the complex and varied world of work, the Job Film Days Association also organizes two exhibitions, some special events in Piedmont and the “From idea to subject” Writing Workshop on labor issues, aimed at videomakers and creatives under 35.

The event is realized thanks to the valuable collaboration of the National Cinema Museum. It also relies on the collaboration of a dense network of local, national and international institutions and associations.
