Job Film Days, in collaboration with the Order of Labour Consultants of Turin, will present on Wednesday October 4th, at 10 a.m, three short films that show different aspects of the world of labor and different perspectives. Arbete at Alla! (Sweden, 2022), Rosa e pezza (Italy, 2022) and Normale, trop Normale (France, 2022) reflect on the gazes of the directors from three Countries like Sweden, Italy and France, offering a rich starting point for the meeting that follows the screening. The encounter will be attended by Luisella Fassino (President of the Order of Labour Consultants), Luca Furfaro (Coordinator Study Center of Turin), Virginia Bertone (President of the Young Hoteliers’ Group Turin), Carlotta Castagneris (President of Young Pharmacists Turin), Marco Frus (President of Young Lawyers Turin), Dennis Maseri (National President Young Confcooperative).

ROSA E PEZZA (Italy, 2022, 17′)

Sergio works in the family butcher’s shop and is a loyal boy, unlike his brother Flavio who has been away from home for a long time because of his conflictual relationship with his father. When Flavio returns to the village, Sergio pushes for his reintegration into the family business. However, his father’s intrusive presence makes it impossible for the two brothers to live together.

Giulia Regini (Rome, 1994) graduated in 2018 in cinema at RUFA (Rome University of Fine Arts), where he took part in the making of several short films as assistant director. His graduation short film, Flavio, is screened at “Alice nella città” in 2017 and in the “Short film corner” section of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. In 2019 he entered the directing class at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, where he is currently in his third year.

NORMALE, TROP NORMALE (France, 2022, 13′)

A young Italian actress, who has moved to Paris, has to face an audition with her favourite French director. On the day of the casting, nothing will go as planned and she will have to show that she can control her nerves in front of a commission that is willing to do anything but watch her act. But above all, to get the role, she will have to confront a serious problem: that of being ‘too normal’.

Chiara Scalise is an Italian actress and young director. She began her journey as an actress in theater, but quickly approached cinema, the moment she was admitted to the Gian Maria Volonté School of Cinematographic Art, where she graduated in 2014. Her first experiences on the big screen are under directors such as Cristina Comencini (Qualcosa di nuovo, 2015) and Daniele Vicari (Sole cuore amore, 2016). The latter also directed her in the series L’alligatore (2020) and more recently in the film Orlando (2022). In 2021, Chiara Scalise received her postgraduate diploma in ‘Directing, Screenwriting and Production’ at the Sorbonne, University of Paris. In the same year, she made the short documentary Oikos, in collaboration with the Festival Hors-Piste of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the following year, her first fiction short film Normale, trop normale, in which she also starred.
